Dear Elementary Families,
In 2017, legislators passed a law allowing Minnesota public schools to hold up to Five (5) E-Learning days in response to days of inclement weather. This means students will receive learning activities and assignments provided by their classroom teachers that they would complete at home. Therefore, even though the weather may prevent staff and students from coming to the school building, students can have a school day that does not have to be made up later.
Teachers will have E-Learning Packets in your students' take-home folders, along with a copy of this letter, to be utilized on the school days that are declared "E-Learning" days due to inclement weather. The Superintendent will determine which days will be called "E-Learning days" and which will be "Snow Days," which will be made up at a later date. These E-learning packets will also be available on the school district's website.

Accessibility to teachers will be provided to the students from 9:15 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. by multiple formats, including email and phone. Please email the teacher first with your initial questions. If your questions are not referenced in a timely manner, please feel free to contact your student's school, and they will help you contact the teacher. Students will have three days following the E-Learning day to turn in assignments to their teachers, allowing for individual family situations. Attendance for E-Learning days will be based on homework completion within the three-day window.
Thank you,
Elementary Administration
