Good evening!
While I've been waiting for my conferences tonight I've been putting together a few videos that we recorded today in my guitar class. This was a new elective here at the SH this fall, made possible with instruments purchased through a grant from the EGF Ed Foundation.
Despite the challenges of this year, the students have made serious progress in the first 2 1/2 months or so of school! Out of the 8 kids you'll see on the video, two are band students, three are choir students, and three didn't read music at all before this semester. Only two had played any guitar before this class (no formal lessons, just what they had picked up on their own).
Anyway, I thought I would share some soothing sounds of a guitar ensemble in these stressful times. I'm pretty proud of them considering this was the first time these kids had even been in the same room all year. Hope you enjoy!
