For the Thanksgiving break, our students play College Readiness Turkey Bingo! Over the last few weeks, students have been studying college terminology and preparing their Bingo cards. Here are a few sample questions:
- This person will help you select your college courses
- The name of the test students take to assess their college readiness
- What is the minimum number of credits a college student must have to be considered a full-time student
- What is the name of the online government form parents must complete to determine financial aid eligibility
Our Senior High teachers donated money to purchase gift cards for our student to win. Over $300 was donated! If a student got a bingo, they were required to run to the office to have their card checked, say their name and "gobble gobble" over the intercom.
After MANY $5 straight line winners were given, we went to black-out Bingo. Sophomore Kasumi Lee was the big winner of a $30 prize on black-out.
