Cyril 'Cy Ducharme
Cy graduated from East Grand Forks Central High School in 1948. While in school, he participated in football, track, alpha hy-y, boys octet and in the senior class play. He was the Senior class representative to the Student Council, and a member of the Annual Staff. He was also the Homecoming Committee Chairman and, on the Prom Committee. He was an outstanding athlete who as co-captain of the football team, was selected first team all-city half back, first team all conference half back and was named to the Honorable Mention All-State football team. He went on to play football at the University of North Dakota, and ran track at UND as well. After attending UND, he went on to the University of Minnesota, where he earned a BA degree in business. He spent his professional career working for General Mills in various capacities for 39 years.
Benton Thomas Eid
Benton graduated from East Grand Forks Central High School in 1948. White in school, he participated in band, chorus, boys octet, brass sextet, the senior class play, and was on the Annual Staff. He also played basketball, was the Junior Class Marshall, and the Senior Class President. He was awarded the Hallen-Lystad Trophy, and was the class Salutatorian. He attended the University of North Dakota where he earned a BA Degree in business in 1952. He then earned a LLB in Law at UND in 1955. After completing Law school, he went to work at General Mills as an internal auditor. He then accepted a position with GM in the formula feed division in San Francisco. From there he went on to become an assistant treasurer, a comptroller and finally a financial VP. All told he was with General Mills for 29 years. After leaving GM, he became the business manager for WCCO Television in Minneapolis. He also worked for Fingerhut as a manager for mergers and acquisitions. Before he retired, he was a recovery specialist for Robert Beck and Associates. He overcame a serious case of polio as a child and went on to become a very successful businessman.
Dorothy Reeves
Dorothy graduated from Wenatchee High School in Wenatchee, Washington in 1915. She attended Bemidji State Normal School, now known as Bemidji State University, and graduated with a teaching degree in 1923. She came to East Grand Forks and taught at the Lincoln school on the point for 2 years. She then went to Central where she taught and was the Jr. High Principal for 2 more years. She then moved to Chisholm, MN where she taught one more year. She came back to East Grand Forks in 1928 and completed her BS degree in Education from the University of North Dakota. She later earned a Masters degree from UND in 1940. Her teaching career in East Grand Forks spanned a total of 42 years. She taught World History, Social Problems, Economics and Government to East Grand Forks high school students. She was the Senior class advisor for 20 years, and was the Yearbook advisor from 1945 to 1965. The National Honor Society Chapter of East Grand Forks Senior High School was named for her when it was organized in 1963. She was a long time member of the Columbia Study Club, and she was an elder at Mendenhall Presbyterian Church in East Grand Forks.
Larry Selk

A 1949 graduate of Minot High School in Minot, North Dakota. He participated in football, basketball, track and Jr. Legion baseball. He was part of a state championship basketball team in 1949, and was named to the all state-tournament team that year as well. He attended Minot State University where he played basketball for four years. His team won three consecutive conference championships during that time. He earned his BS degree Physical and Business in 1953, and later earned a Masters Degree in Physical Education from UND in 1966. Before coming to East Grand Forks Senior High, he coached two different schools to State championships in basketball. He led Willow City to a North Dakota Class “C” State title in 1956, and later led Bottineau, ND to a Class “B” State title in 1959. He worked at East Grand Forks Senior High for 33 years as a teacher, coach, and administrator. He was Athletic Director at Senior High for 23 years. In his 16 years as basketball coach, he led the Green Wave to the state tournament in both 1968 and in 1971, where they finished 3rd. He was inducted into the Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1989, and into the Minot State University Hall of Fame in 2003.
Ordean H. Thompson

Ordean graduated from East Grand Forks Central High School in 1956. While in school, he participated in football, basketball, chorus and soloist. He was selected Honor Athlete of the Year in 1956. He attended Concordia College before becoming a career farmer raising sugar beets and certified grain. He was elected to the ISD 595 School Board for nine, three year terms for a total of 27 years, including 6 as Chairman. During his tenure on the board, he served with 19 different directors and 3 different Superintendents. He was named Outstanding School Board Member by the Minnesota School Board Association in 1984. He was a charter member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, and spent 50 years in Senior Choir. He was a King Agassiz Candidate representing West Polk County, and was appointed Director of East Grand Forks 1st National Bank. He was a past member of the Lions Club, and he was a Governor-appointed member of the Minnesota State Advisory Council for Vocational Education.
