Public Input

Public input at East Grand Forks Public School board meetings provides community members with an opportunity to share their thoughts, concerns, and suggestions on district-related matters. EGF Public Schools has designated time for public comments as a way to encourage transparency and community engagement. Individuals must follow district guidelines, such as signing up in advance and adhering to time limits for speaking. Though board members listen to public input, they do not respond or engage in discussion during the meeting. Instead, comments are taken into consideration for future discussions and decision-making. Public participation is an important way for parents, staff, and community members to have their voices heard in shaping local education policies and priorities.

Any member of the public who wishes to speak at a school board meeting shall adhere the to Open Forum Guidelines set forth by the school board in Policy 203.5 and will be asked to fill out a Public Input Form provided by the school district.
